Canadian student visa is promoted by Government of Canada in a bid to export its education, especially to Indian students, drafted Student Partner Programme which proved to be highly successful. Canada relaxed visa rules to all possible extents to felicitate smooth flow of students & Canadian dollars too.
There is a strong myth that Canadian Universities don't offer scholarships for higher education. But, it is totally wrong, huge scholarships are available with Canadian universities, which in turn lead to higher degrees & permanent Immigration too.
Recent change in the visa procedure is updated here to help the students keep them selves aware of. Those applying for SPP or general category should keep in mind clearly the difference in preparing the documents.
Student Visa- Student Partner Programme
Apply for admissions to SPP universities & colleges
Students can select various courses from the universities & colleges listed under SPP by the government of Canada. NOTE: Under SPP for under graduate courses students need a minimum score of 6 bands with no less than 5.5 in every module & for Graduate courses IELTS bands of 6.5 with no less than 6 in every module.
After Admission
If you fulfill the criteria, you will be granted formal admission letter after which you are suppose to make the full tuition deposit to the college, under new rules & open an account where amount equal to CAD 10,000 is to be credited, for lodging & boarding expenses.
This amount will be locked, once visa is granted, you will get CAD 2000 on arrival, after which CAD 2000 will be accounted for every two months.
Once all this is done, students may use below given forms for visa application & deposit the same with nearest VFS centre;

GRE, GMAT, IELTS scores officially
As top ranking institutions accept scores being sent officially, you may contact your examination consucting body to do it..
Do Follow up
Follow up is very important for admissions, as this increases the chances for completing any left outs as well as developing the rapport with your guide.
Admission will be released
Once the admission is done, you are issued an conditional offer letter.
Pay the Fees
Make the payment of one semester of tuition fee in advance and get COE.
Documentation for Embassy
For preparing documentations of embassy, you may take into consideration the funds required & the source of funds. Everything should be specific. Fill in the appropriate forms
Deposit the documents to nearest VFS
All the documents with appropriate embassy fee & photographs to be deposited with nearest VFS centre.
